Our Founder
Chelsey Faulkner
Chelsey envisioned a cosmetic brand that truly understands and serves women of color. After years of developing a transparent makeup line tailored specifically for multicultural women, she successfully combined environmental responsibility with high performance. Growing up as a young Black girl in the Midwest, Chelsey often faced challenges finding the right foundation shade, which sparked her determination to innovate in the cosmetics industry. Dissatisfied with the limited options available, she decided to create a solution herself. With a background in collaborating with various cosmetic companies and holding a master's degree in Creative Entrepreneurship, Chelsey founded Candid Hues. Her dedication to inclusive and eco-friendly beauty led to the creation of a brand that provides natural alternatives without compromising on performance.
